How to automatically generate thumbnails using some script?
I have a couple thousand products and need to create thumbnails for each product. Is there any way to do this in some sort of automated fashion using a script?
It will take too long to do them manually one by one. Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks

.dat is not a standard image format. It can be anything. Usually this is a video file. And if you purchased the module and installation not sure how you wanted me know upfront that you have some .dat file that represents an image... Anyway - good luck with the thumbs creation. I hope you find an easy way to do this

Re: How to automatically generate thumbnails using some script?
(1) get a program to convert .dat to .jpg (google it)
(2) use a program like Adobe Fireworks to batch process a folder of files to create thumbnails Note that if you have imagemagik on your server with SSH access, you may be able to do both at the server level (conversion for sure).

Re: How to automatically generate thumbnails using some script?
.dat files are not standard image formats so they can be almost anything in any encoding scheme .. what produced them in the first place?
