As far as I know, CPI integration is a kind of archaic one, and it has been replaced with a newer API integration.

Thank for your help, you also have advertizing in the socilize page and I've like to remove this links because is cousing a security warning when socialize mode is active, also Google +1 is not showing in the costumers side in IE, but not problem in firefox and Chrome. Can you please help on this.

I have just tried exporting for Froogle and I am getting an expiration date 16/09/2011. Tried adjusting the "How many days" in the module settings. Do I have a problem or is this another "feature"?

Since you can set your expiration date at Google, and it is no longer required, I just delete the field before submitting the feed. Also, Google has changed the format to YYYY-MM-DD. Under no circumstances can the expiration date be over 30 days. I jope this helps.

I was considering having complete overall to our site, so I am now beginning to consider either doing it on the latest version of xcart, as well as other commerce platforms...



In reviewing the demo, I was pleasesently surprised by some of the nice features, however I was kind of taken back by some of the things which have been standard for 5+ years on most high end sites that it doesnt have or implemented horrifically.


This is stuff I was shocked and apalled at, I just want to mention these things to make sure that I am not mistaken:

1. The gd-resize of the largest image you upload, so that it displys the re-sized version on all the product pages As well as a specified size for the product details page. This way you dont have to upload this seperately.

Further best practice would be --- after the first time it is created a physical copy is automatically saved and cached.


2. The product detail images, thumbnails are using the browser to re-size the image previews???? I was quite taken back by this.

for ex:

If you view the images under the large image

it is loading a -> 400px в 400px (scaled to 52px в 52px)

The same thing when viewing thses supposed small icons in the popup.

This not only creats extra load time, but also jagged images.
These images should automatically be created off the large image you upload using resize functio, and then saved and cached after the first view by user.


3. You can only upload 1 image for a varient?

For ex if i have set of 5 images for a red color, when i switch to the blue it should switch out all the images to what ever images i have for blue (which could be many). If you view any high end site, this is standard practice.




Ok here is stuff which I guess is somewhat understandable that its not there, but was still kind of surprised:

Here we go again with the address book.

QT: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SCRAP the whole address book/customer info feature and everything related to it you put in 4.4.x and rebuild it from scratch the way it is supposed to be.

BUG: In 4.4.x search for orders, mark one of the orders, pay attention to customer name, open that order details, go to modify order, then modify customer information. Change customer names - shipping and/or billing, it doesn't matter. Save. Get back to the order's details page - check the names - new names are showing which is correct. Now go back to the orders list and check that order in the list - check customer name - the OLD name is there. Why is this happening? Because of the ridiculous way the address book/customer info is designed where you have 3 sets of names - regular name for register, shipping name and billing name. All 3 of them are saved with the order when one is placed. When you edit order's info (customer) AOM reads and changes only shipping and billing info, the regular customer names are left as is. What else can I say....

He is right about 1 and 2 especially. Look at Google Pagespeed https://developers.google.com/pagespeed and you'll see that Google thinks QT should fix these with MEDIUM priority. Get it done already!
