I'm glad to see all of the positive reviews for Mercury Minds. Regrettably my experience so far isn't quite up to par.

I placed an order for the one page checkout module on 01/15/11. So far I have not received the product.
On 01/17/11 I received an email from them stating they were getting back from a three day holiday and they apologized for the delay.
It is now 01/19/11 and I still don't have the product and they haven't responded to my last email.

We are sorry for the delay. We have got requests from our clients for this one issue, it is a bug in x-cart "When you register/check out, the shipping address is not carried to the profile when you order next time". This is not a bug in our module. so, we have decided to fix it and the latest patches of the module does support it by default. This got delayed.

I received an email with the download link today and have successfully installed the one page checkout module. However, there seems to be two noticeable issues.

The first issue is the Coupon Code field does not have any surrounding text. How is anyone supposed to know that it is indeed a coupon field? Originally, the checkout page said:

"Redeem a discount coupon

If you have a valid discount coupon, you can enter the coupon code below, the store will deduct the discount amount from your order total.

Coupon code:"

It doesn't say anything currently. When entering bogus coupon codes nothing happens. Not sure if this is intentional, but typically the user should be informed that some form of computation was made and the coupon code they entered is not valid. Also nothing happens when inputting an active code unless the user is logged in. It should tell the user that they need to be logged in for the coupon to work.

If one successfully applies a coupon and then clicks "unset coupon", instead of staying on the checkout page and having their total updated, the user is taken back to /cart.php. This is definitely not optimal.

I'm more concerned about the fact that it isn't user friendly to have a seemingly random, unidentified form field that doesn't appear to do anything than the actual functionality of it.

The second issue is a broken image popup. When the shopping cart first loads it is displayed and also when changing payment methods.

I have sent these issues to MercuryMinds. I post them here to let anyone else with version 4.4x know about them.
