I have set up a demo store on my site. Everything has been working properly and I haven't checked it in some time. My site hasn't launched yet so I know it's not getting that much traffic. When I went to my store today to make some changes, this is the error that showed up:

Warning: Smarty error: problem writing temporary file '/home/detrends/public_html/cart_demo/templates_c/%%-11/%%-1148365713/3f836de0cf860' in /home/detrends/public_html/cart_demo/Smarty-2.5.0/Smarty.class.php on line 1042

Warning: touch(): Utime failed: Operation not permitted in /home/detrends/public_html/cart_demo/Smarty-2.5.0/Smarty.class.php on line 1575

Any ideas as to what this means and why it came out from nowhere?

have you got file limits imposed by your host?

if so, clear your compiled templates by going to admin->summary

That should solve it temporarily.

Hi,

Getting the same error message as Zilker -- but, clearing templates_c has not effect -- still get the message. Any other pointers?
