Default Edit Templates
How can I set the Edit Templates function to allow editing of my php files too?

I can't get the php files to show up in the listings.

Don't do this.
Instead use an FTP client w/ integrated or linked text editor.

The reason, is that I can make quick modifications using my cell phone connection when needed and I have constant problems trying to use FTP with my cell connection.
