Default CDSEO Bug (i think)

Hi,

CD SEO seems to have a bug in it out of box in meta.tpl for 4.1x (correct me if im wrong) but when i installed it on 4.1.9 and followed everything through and uploaded the new meta.tpl....it stopped the main homepage meta description and meta keywords working on the home page.

every other section worked perfect and the products and categories worked fine. had to add an if statement to get the homepage to bring in the default keywords for the homepage. meta.tpl seems to cause the problem on the homepage

is this right or?

Thanks

Richard Sands

CDSEO does not modify the meta.tpl template.

Richard, first, we need you to update your forum signature per the forum guidelines. It should show your X-Cart version, as well as any custom modules you have installed. Next, please be aware of where you post. As the name implies, the Complied Custom Mods forum is for posting completed code only, not questions. I'm moving this to the Third Party Add-Ons forum.

As to your question, I believe you are referring to a different mod, the BCS Meta mod perhaps?

Well, I see you have the meta mods as well, so perhaps your issue is with that?

You need to either specify home page META data with an {if} statement, or let it use the default from General Settings/SEO Options. Perhaps you accidentally deleted the 'default' META statement when you edited meta.tpl?
