OK, my site was fine, all images were working, and now I have noticed that some thumbnail images are broken. Please see here: http://www.officenexus.com/home.php?cat=20

The odd thing is, I checked the CDMod setting, and the images that are working are the same as the broken ones (644). I tried to edit the product and reupload the thumbnail and then resave and that did not work. Even odder, the larger product images are working fine.

Also, the images seem.. to work in the admin area, just not on the storefront. I am not sure what is going on. Please help...

Did you fix the problem? Because, I see the thumbnails and images fine. I had a similar problem with images not showing up. I had my images in CMYK mode and not RGB. So my images would show up on my Mac Powerbook, but not on a Microsoft based PC.

Did you find the cause to this as I am having a similar problem.

The thumbnails will show ok in the product listings but when you go the details page, some will not show. I have also tried deleting and relinking images, cloning working products etc, but it doesn't solve it.

I have asked several times for help through this forum but no-one could help. I've asked through the helpdesk and they cannot reproduce the problem even if I point them to products that are not working on my system. However, I am using IE7 and they are using IE6 - so next week they are going to try it on IE7 to see if that is the problem.

Could this be browser related, xcart related or hosting related?
I'm having a similar problem. All I did was a complete site backup in my hosting panel.
I was updating some prices, checked to see if all was showing fine in my site and suddenly all images are gone (IE6 + IE7 + Opera).
Strangely enough, everyting shows up fine in Firefox.
Any idea???

X-cart tested in different browsers and it apparently all worked fine in all cases (although I can't double check it myself) , but they still only show randomly on my own computer!

It is still happening to me and I have no idea what is causing it.

Sorry that I didn't find a solution that I could share, but if anyone can find out that would help us all.

You are not going to believe this
After doing a site backup, I noticed that most of my images were gone. I also deleted my temp xcart directory. Sure enough, for some strange reason, most of my images in my root cart were linked to my temp xcart directory. No wonder the images did not show up.
Now this is strange, they still showed up in Firefox even after clearing the cache????

I wish I could offer you an answer to your problem but I'm affraid with my (little) amount of experience.... Beautiful site by the way.

Hello Kristiaan,

I could check whether I can see some of your thumbnails that you can't see.... because I know that some others can see my images although I don't?

My problem is that, for example, in my section called 'Cake Stand Hire' you will find two cake stand designs. The first one shows the thumbnail on the front page, but when you click on it for more details - it doesn't show the thumbnail on the details page. Where as the second cake stand shows it on both pages (as it should).

The images are obviously there or they wouldn't be showing at all. X-Cart support can see these images, although I can't.
