hi i finaly manged to change the xlogo.gif on my site but its to small can someone please tell me how i resize the logo

You don't resize the logo, you need to edit the css styles applied to it. Use FF with Firebug to find out which styles and edit them

Its /common_files/css/main.css

Below is what size i set my log to, just alter it for your image size...

#header .line1 .logo a img {
width: 400px;
height: 80px;

thanks that worked a treat do you no if its possible to change the header bar colour at the moment it orange

If your on about the "head_linebg.gif" then all i done was put head_linebg.gif into google search, images,, and found a nice blue colour that i liked and just upload it to the server and it replaced the orginal orange one.

Below is the "head_linebg.gif" i used

I tried this, and it destroyed my design completely. lol. I did exactly as you said. This is what it looks like now, after looking exactly like the default shop:

Customizing the logo should be one of the easiest things to do. Leave it up to Xcart to not bother simplifying the process.
