        	 Hello,

When I edit main/register.tpl, i keep getting an error on customer/register.php: Warning: Smarty error: problem writing '../templates_c/%%180/%%1802305980/register.tpl.php.' in /blah/blah/blah/xcart/Smarty-2.3.0/Smarty.class.php does anyone have any idea what causes that? when I opened the file file in the templates_c folder, i noticed a synax error, fixed it, and the error went away, but the update to register.tpl does not take place. The templates_c folder is set up to permissions 777. So if I try to edit the template again, I get the same error as above. Any ideas what might be causing that? Thanks! |

Have you tried removing templates_c/ and let x-cart/smarty recreate the directory, or issued a clear templates in the summary of the admin?

I did try deleting the templates_c folder, and got a bunch of errors, including this error: Warning: MkDir failed (Permission denied) We had changed the permisions for the x-cart folder, is this what could be causing it? The reason we changed the permissions was because we needed to edit a php file within the include folder, but the user name that owned the files was declared when we set up x-cart. |

Good news, the error went away!

After deleting the templates_c folder, I recreated the folder, set chmod to 777, and then refreshed the website. This must have rewrote that cached template that was creating errors. Thanks for your help! |

The same error happened to me when editing templates.

Deleting the templates_c directory as directed above worked for me too. Good call. |
