Default How to modify customer notification email template....
Currently, all the customer notification emails start out with "Dear FirstName LastName,". I would like to get this changed. Upon looking up the languange section, "eml_dear" has the value of Dear {{customer}}. Is there a different variable that has the customer FirstName only?

All of the e-mail templates are in skin1/mail/html. You'll find all the variables in those various templates. Moving to Template Editing.
