Hi Guys

i'm new to this, so need some help. If i want to add an image advertising a product on mine to the front page, is better to just insert the image diectly into home.tpl, or would it be better to make a new .tpl file, insert the image into that and then include that .tpl file into home.tpl

customer/main/welcome.tpl

That template controls the front page text, so just add your image there.

Is it also possible to have your category images on your front page? Like i had in ZenCart here

You would first need to modify your subcategories template to include icons, and then you could add this to welcome.tpl to show them:

{include file="customer/main/subcategories.tpl"}
