For anyone interested in smarty, it's apparantly going closed source.

Now, I'm very suspicious because they a.) still have downloads available and most importantly b.) it's April Fool's day here in the states -- a day where practical jokes run rampant and realism is a lofty goal.

Anyway, I'm sure it's a prank, but I thought I'd let everyone know -- just in case it isn't.
