I know these questions have been asked many times, but i've spent a lot of time looking thru the forums and can't find what I need. First I want to change the background color of my pages?????? and the bg color bars etc. If I can get to the right place to take care of this, I might be able to find the answer to the rest of my delima by myself. any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there an online guide I might be able to use.

you need to head to "Edit Templates" under the Administration menu on the right of you admin page, and edit the css file of whatever skin have chosen.
Under the BODY tag you should see BACKGROUND COLOR:#------
If you are new to this, this refers to a six-digit screen color number. You can select a color from a webpage like http://www.webcolors.freeserve.co.uk/chooser.htm or choose it in the color picker of a program like Photoshop.

Hemya, thanks so much, I want you to know how truly grateful Iam for your post. It was direct, to the point, very clear and easy to understand. I read it and went directly to the right place and made the changes I wanted. I think that is how these forums should work, not be clouded ith a bunch of techno mumbo jumbo that I for one don't understand.
