I was trying to edit my head.tpl, and when I saved it to see what would happen, everything went blank. I need to remove the line I added, but I cannot access it anymore. I tried to change it using ftp, but it says I do not have permission to change the file. Does anyone know how to edit the tpl files outside in ftp? Or how I can turn on the permissions to edit the template files? I am completely stuck here. I do have a backup of the head.tpl file, but I do not have permissions to edit the file.


When I go to the customers page this is the message I get:

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in head.tpl line 42]: [plugin] unknown tag - 'customer' (Smarty.class.php, line 2543) in /home/rox/roxjewelry-www/Smarty-2.5.0/Smarty.class.php on line 2652

O.K. I went back and found the head.tpl file in my file manager and made the change. It's fine now. :P Whew..

Dont' forget x-cart has a repair template feature where it copies the original x-cart templates from skin1_original to skin1. Useful if you've completely lost the display due to modifications.
