hello

i am trying to find out where to change certain messages. i know that in webmaster mode little happy windows pop up for me to change certain dialouge...

Where do i change the provider area blurb? it *will not* open a happy box in webmaster mode

Welcome to X-Cart Product Provider interface. This interface allows product providers to add/modify/delete their products, browse orders history, control discounts and all other options related to provider's products. X-Cart Pro edition allows you to have more than one product provider account. This allows you to run a mall site where your product providers will be able to sell their products without interfering with each other.

all the text is stored in the database.

you can edit things using the languages area of your xcart admin

WOW... thank you, i had no idea the languages area did so much..

however, upload looking through pages and pages of text & labels & what not i am not seeing the long blurb that is on the provider page.. am i missing something, blind, stupid, or all 3?

best way of finding anything is to enter words used in the text into the filter box. Look in lables, text, errors and emails not just one of them.

Thanks groovico - i did that. believe me, the forums are *not* my first resort for help...

i filtered from provider, provide, and many of the words that is in that blurb -- also looked throught text, tags, errors - everything. when that didnt' work, i went through each page by hand.

anyone else have any idea?

I have exhausted all options that anyone has suggested & can not find this text anywhere

I don't know if you found this already or not, but I thought I'd post the answer.

/provider/main/welcome.tpl

You can edit it in the "Edit Templates" area.

BTW, you CAN force the webmaster mode to open the "happy box" by clicking the "Open customer area in new window" (in the admin webmaster mode pages after the "happy box" comes up). Once you let it open the customer page change the address bar to provider instead of customer and the "happy box" changes with it.
