Default Password Hint Function, Useless?

Hey guys,

Is it just me or did the developers have a brain fart when developing the password hint function. When the customer registers, they are able to enter a password hint and password hint answer but when they try to recover their password, they are only given the option of recovering it by entering their email and not by password hint. I searched the code throughly and could only find that the password_hint and password_hint_answer were included in the xcart_customers table and register.tpl. But there isn't any function for it to work as as password retrieval system.

I'm on 3.4.9, has this issue been resolved for 3.5.x and if so, can someone post the code?

Thanks

thanks shan, i'm going to make a note to delete it from register tbl and the sql import on my new install.

By the way, if you could help, I had a question about the languages files. There have been plenty of mods in this forum that require you to create a extra language file, that's easy after your store is already up and running. But is there a way to include the new language(s) before you install? I tried looking through the sql files to see how it installs the languages but had no success.

Thanks!

if you have a set of language entries already in your cart you could do an sql dump of them and use that to reimport elsewhere
