Hi can anyone tell me if its possible to add selectable product options in the left sidebar at all ?

Im trying to go for this sort of thing

http://www.asos.com/Men/Watches/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=5034&via=top

with the left bar offering, colour, price range, brand etc

is this easy to do, is there a mod or anything like this available for xcart at all ?

Yes it easy to do. Its called filtering. I have tried a few but prefer my current ISAY Filters. Yan is a top guy and will help you out. http://isayplus.com/products-xcart-modules/isay-filters-xcart-module

QT's is not very good for SEO purposes. Using ISAY Filters with a couple of tweaks I have thousands of virtual categories with SEO copy and Meta data that are relevant and gains us really good Google rankings.
