Alexa and Analfytics in root file (where is root?)

Default Alexa and Analfytics in root file (where is root?)
Hi everyone:

I am currently trying to register in Alexa and Analytics and both of them ask me to insert a code in the root directory. Would anyone happen to know in what file I can find it? Should I access it via FTP? I tried putting it in the Languages-welcome section but it wasnt working.

I need to put these codes right after [Head]

I have Xcart Gold 4.3

you can put that code in head before </head> tag. You can access that skin/common_files/customer/home.tpl
