Hello Everybody,

I have setup a new store over here using x-cart 4.4.1 and looks like there is something not right with it. Section Tabs on Product Detail Page are there but they are not showing or hiding the content underneath. I have turned them off and back on using Admin Control Panel but this didn't help.

The site was working fine until Server Admin tightened the security on the server and after that this functionality stopped working. I have tried to delete old installation and re-installed this version but this issue is the same.

Server admin is also not sure as he only claims to have changed directory permissions etc. I am looking for guidance from Gurus over here that what could be wrong with installation/server side.

I am thankful for your valuable support and cooperation in advance.

The js code is not executing most likely. Changing directory or file permissions can impact this - cart can't read the files

I would start by figuring out why your page isnt loading this file:
/dental-instruments-manufacturers/skin/common_files/lib/jquery.cookie.js

Because when the page loads the jquery.ui.tabs.min breaks at a line that says
d.cookie is undefined

So they could be related.

I had a default 4.4.1 shop doing the same - could well be a bug.

Is the css/js compression enabled? It's buggy. Could be this

Thank you for your valuable suggestions.

I have changed the permission of whole Installation directory to 777 and all folders but the issue is still there.

Regarding /dental-instruments-manufacturers/skin/common_files/lib/jquery.cookie.js , it was 644 before but I have also tried changing it to 777. No change either ways and tabs are still stuck.

Another observation, When I installed x-cart, all folders were 755. Upon finding that VAR, FILES and CATALOG directories should have 777 permission, I made these changes and tabs of Products Detail Page started to appear but those were non-functional. There was no "Active" tab they were also not showing any "hover" effect when hovering mouse upon any of them. Later I applied 777 to all the sub-directories and files under VAR, FILES and CATALOG folders but tabs went back to all expanded state.

As far as I am able to learn, it is partly because of Files Permission but not entirely because of that. CSS and JS compressions are not turned on from the beginning so this couldn't be because of that either.

Let me also mention I have installed x-cart on the same site and everything was working fine. So this cannot be a "bug" but I rather take x-cart is inflexible towards strict server setting.

I am looking forward for further thoughts on that but at the same time, I am highly thankful for your valuable support and attention.

Odd...this happens on one of my 4.4.1 installs, but none of the others. HAS to be a permission issue, but I can't figure out what permission it is.

I got the same problem. The tabs option are not working well. There must be q jquery conflict. If any solution would be great.
