![]() Hello!
I've been playing with the css and tpl files and have been able to figure out most of the things I've needed to do so far (with a little trial & error and searching the forums here). This one has me stumped, though and I can't find info in a search here, so I'm hoping someone can help! ![]() I'm using the fashion mosaic grey template as my base but I moved the ajax mini cart up to the head.tpl file and adjusted it a bit to my layout. Everything's working perfectly in Firefox, but in IE when I click on the cart button to get the ajax popup box summary, it's showing up "below" the auth area. You can see it if you add an item to the cart here and then click on the cart button (be sure to use Internet Explorer, since the problem doesn't show up in Firefox): https://www.dreamtreestudio.com/paisley-twirl-ACEO_2.5x3.5-inches.html I'm sure it's a z-index issue, but there is so much css in these files and I can't figure out how to get it to show up in front / on top! Help!! Any tips on which parts of the css I need to adjust for this z-index issue? Or is there something else in the css I'm missing to fix that. Thank you! (side note...MAN, I hate IE!!!!!!! lol) |

![]() Adjust it seperately in your altskin.IE6.css and altskin.IE7.css files.
BTW, hate is a pretty mild word for IE. ![]() |

![]() Thanks, hoosierglass!
![]() Well, I'm semi-versed in css (I know enough to get around and sometimes get into trouble - haha - but can usually find what I need on w3schools.com) and thought I could make it work, but making the z-index changes in those files still doesn't fix the popup ajax minicart. I'm sure it's user error on my part... ![]() Any other tips on what I should be doing with the css to fix this particular issue? I appreciate the earlier tips, I just don't know what I'm doing wrong here! I have the line 2 auth css set to z-index 5 and the minicart-box to z-index 10000 (just to be safe) but in IE it's still popping up under that line 2 auth section. GRRRRRRR...you're right, hate is NOT a strong enough word for IE! ![]() |

![]() I had the same problem and it was the div that was surrounding most of the stuff in the line1 div in head.tpl. I had to add a z-index that was the same as minicart-box to the div that surrounded everything.
ex: <div id="quick-cart"> <------------this div is absolutely positioned but had no z-index so i added one .....blah blah stuff....cart stuff included.... </div> Hope this helps Oh and I'm on xcart 4.3.2
