Hi everyone, I would like to know if anyone has created a module or is able to tell me how I can edit the system generated emails from the admin section, does anyone know if something has been created for this? at the moment when we goto admin then edit template its abit to technical for us and we would rather have a html ready or a preview option for us to edit it in html Regards, GP

Unfortunately you need to know the Smarty language and html in order to edit the templates. You can edit the language of the emails using the 'Languages' area of the admin, but to actually make structural changes I'm afraid you need some programming knowledge.

I am actually in the process of trying to edit my clients notification emails. I am not looking to change the information itself, I just want to style it better.

Could anyone tell me which files control the notification emails in the system?

All the email templates are in skin1/mail/html

I'm having a strange issue where the company logo image that I replaced in the mail_header.tpl file is being added as a download-able image in mail clients.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Some mail clients strip out images and make them attachments.

I figured that may be the case. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for those templates. I simply edited the header and signature templates and it worked out well.
