Default Inserting Flash in place of banner

So here's my issue, my client wants rototating photos of dogs in his banner. I've got some high quality photos but everytime I make gif file, it reduces the image quality and it looks like crap!

http://littlepuppiesonline.msidesigns.com/home.php

My best answer was to figure out how to make high quality gifs, which I haven't yet, or make a Flash file.

So how to get a swf file in the banner area? or make better animated gifs?

Dont even try with animated gifs. There are pretty good js scripts out there for image rotation. Thats what you need

It's a static banner, but the center image changes.

http://littlepuppiesonline.msidesigns.com/home.php

When I made it into a gif it reduced the color palette and It's not smooth any more.

By not "smooth" I take it you mean how quick the image loads, can you not alter the variable for "fade" increase the number 3500 and keep checking the response?

I haven't added the script yet. That image on the site right now is the banner.gif I made. By not Smooth I mean how grainy it is because of the pixel reduction by the Gif software to 256 color palette.

I've got about 3 hours to kill at the airport, so I'm going to try installing the script.

You must be in the middle of doing the alteration because all I can see now is a blue ribbon.

I thought you ment loading because one image stands out when loading

Yeah I'm trying the AJAX mod right now. It works in an HTML locally on my Laptop, but not when I put in all the edits in the TPLs.
