![]() Hi,
I currently have orange button images in use, but I need the images to convert to the color grey. Can I change the color of my but1.gif and but_menu1.gif through css, or do I need to replace the images? I have xcart 4.1.12. Thanks

![]() It will be a lot easier to just replace the images with new ones with the same name and size

Can you go to http://www.trafficbatch.com/cart real quick, and tell me if you think I should change the color of the add to cart buttons or any suggestion would be good?

![]() Buttons color doesn't match the site at all you need to change them. You need to lock down the admin directory as right now is wide open - server level password for the admin and provider directories. The dark red with black is a little hard to read. In the checkout process where the login part is - change the "click here to register" to something else ("click here to checkout" for example) as you don't require registration and is misleading.

Thanks, but what do mean by the admin panel? I have a password setup right now for admin/home.php. Also, do you know of a way to just change the color of the buttons without changing the actual image because I don't know how to make another button?

![]() The one you have setup is for your store's back end. The one I am talking about is in addition and shows login screen before yoiu even reach http://www.trafficbatch.com/cart/admin. It is done on a server level and you can probably very easily set it up from your hosting account, or ask your host about this, they will be able to help you or even do it for you. Buttons are using images. If you want to change the color without changing the images you have to edit the button template not to use images but css colors and if you don't know what you are doing the template can break very easily. You can also make new images with same size as the existing ones and just replace the existing images

![]() There is no link to it. It is done on server level and has nothing to do with xcart. You can google "password protect web directory" for example. You should be able to do this within your hosting control panel. If not ask your host

Ok, I see how to do that, but how do you know I need that? Can you message me some more details about why this is a issue for me?

![]() I can tell by going to http://www.trafficbatch.com/cart/admin. This is not an issue it's just one more level of protection for your admin back end
