Default Modify view cart
I was wondering if anyone knew how to take out the product thumbnail and description in the cart view.

Change this:

Try this: admin - general settings - appearance options - unclick show thumbnails in product description.

After that I have no idea!

Yeah, that changes everywhere but the cart But that is the view I was looking for minus the description

You would need to actually edit the template. It is customer/main/cart.tpl.

Thanks, thats the biggest problem I've run into working with X-Cart. Figuring out what file does what.

You need to use Webmaster Mode, it will tell you EXACTLY which template is which. Have a look at the manual on this, will guide you through it step by step. Absolutely essential to get to know the X-Cart templating system.
