what do I have to delete?

Are you referring to the Pumpkin Welcome page or the text that appears on the first page of your store that is just below that blue bar?

the pumpkin and the welcome to our store text thats in the middle table above featured items

For the middle table that is above featured items my suggestion for the easiest alteration, customization or removal of that area is to enter webmaster mode, click on Open customer area in new window, and click once on the text area you are wanting to change/delete. A window will pop open allowing you to edit this. You can create visually in Dreamweaver something you would like there and then copy the html and paste it in this box as well. Or you can just whack it out of there by deleting what is in the pop up box when you click on the text.

As for the pumpkin page...that is the index.html page in your shop directory. I am sure you know what to do with that from there.
