Hi,

I want to add a background colour to the left hand side of my layout where all the boxes are. I was hoping I could just set a background colour on the VertLeft Nav class but the colour only starts where the Category Box starts and not from the banner.

Is there an easy solution to this or do I need to change the whole layout to be css driven? Any advice from someone who has done this would be greatfully appreciated.

You would need to remove the horizontal table cell causing that space and tuck the left hand column right up to the top graphic.

The only luck I've had in removing the horizontal table cell to get rid of the space is to do this to my code in head.tpl with no closing html comment:-

This forces the category box right up under my banner. I don't understand why this works because I know Smarty comments are {* *}. I am still commenting out all other dead space so the bottom help box sits just before the footer, but I've had no luck finding the right one.
