How do I do this? I figured I needed to alter the following line in the meta.tpl file, but whenever I change the title and save it, it won't save -
lng_labels['txt_site_title'] = 'X-CART. Powerful PHP shopping cart software';

What am I doing wrong?

The Text is picked up from the Database in the languages table under txt_site_title. Change that and then clear your template cache and your done.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm new to this so I'm not really sure how to do what you're asking :/. I logged into the site where the database is and found a table called "xcart_languages" which I assume is the one you meant. I clicked on it but couldn't see anything called "txt_site_title". It just listed the fields code, name, value and topic...

There were lots of other tabs which I looked under but I couldn't see anything called "txt_site_title"

Don't worry! I started clicking around and I eventually found it and managed to change it. Thanks for your help

Glad you found it. I use MySql Query Browser from the MySQL site, it has a search option that makes it easy to find he text you are looking for.
I too am new to X-Cart and just found oiut that you could have changed it from the Admin Menu as well. Go to the Admin Menu and click on Languages. Select English and you will then see an Apply Filter box. Type the text you are looking for and you will see all the matches for that text and be able to edit them.
