I have made several static pages in the embedded area...I then tried to make one in the root area to see what the difference is and got this message...

Cannot save file: please check the write permissions.

What does this mean and how can I rectify it...

Also Is there a way to leave a blank line between the static page links so they stand out more...
if so please explain....

That means your root folder does not have write permissions...try changing it to 666.

By the static page links, do you mean in the help menu?
