Hey,

I have a couple of queries, if anyone can help;

- Is it possible to have 1 featured product down the side of my store in a box like the other items on the left and the right of the store, ie categories, bestsellers etc..? If so, how could this be done?

- At the top of my store between the boxes on the left and the right and the information in the middle of the screen there is a say 20px white space. Where would I be able to change this so the categories box sits flush with the header?

- When the store is finished I want to be able to browse by brand on the homepage, is there a simpler way than querying the database to display the brand icons, does x-cart have something setup to display categories?

1. Yes, there are some nice custom mods for this in the Custom Mods forum.

2. Depends on your setup. Open up the site in Webmaster mode, find out which template has the space in it, and edit the code to remove it. Probably a <br> tag or padding issue.

3. By 'Brand' I assume you mean Manufacturer. You can put these in a drop-down box that will take you right to the products by that Manufacturer. This is also in the Custom Mods forum.

With the manufacturers, I had hoped to be able to display them in tabular form on the index page with each logo being a link off to everything manufacturered by that company in the store.

Do you think it would be possible to do this and everytime a new manufacturer is added the table on the homepage updates automatically?

Sure, you would just need to get the content from manufacturers.php to the welcome template. I'm not exactly sure how to proceed with that, as I don't use the manufacturer's module all that much (images in the database really irk me).
