Default Editable Regions instead of full pages ?

Is there a way to make an editable region lets say on the home page column or somewhere where the small section (like store hours) would be displayed on all pages or something but could be edited from the admin panel. Instead of a full static page being made for a little bit of content or having the hours ONLY on the contact page lets say.

Ideas?

Needing to build another site and thinking about using x-cart again but I had some issues with custom checkout fields and the database that I couldn't build without contacting x-cart developers and having them do it... that's not always cool.

Thanks

Sure, just create a new language variable (in your Languages area) and add the language variable where you would like it to appear on customer/home.tpl. A language variable looks like this when called:

{$lng.txt_variablename} or {$lng.lbl_variablename}

Yes, you can use html in a language variable. Your other option is to create a new template and just put the code right in there.

There is no WYSIWYG in the admin of 4.0.18, but there is in 4.1.3

Well nice.. this would be using the newest x-cart out there... So 4.1.3 does that this functionality then? Because i'm also wondering about a WYSIWYG for static pages like the home page, contact page, etc etc.

Clients don't know code so the easier is the better.

The language variables are WYSIWYG editable yes. Have a look at the demo. Go to the 'Languages' area and you'll see it.
