I feel like I am on crazy pills or something. I finaly managed to install xcart and start to modify it and nothing seems to work. I started by trying to change some of the colors in the skin1.ccs to just get a different color scheme going. Nothing. I would change the values, save the file, and nothing. If I hit the preview button it gave me some error about "veranda" not being a valid command or something like that. Then I found a folder called schemes and tried swaping some of the other skin1.ccs files for the one in the skin1 folder. Nothing. It always looks the same.

What is worse when I went back to actual store front there is a blank white space between the logo and the repeating image in the top part, like there was a missing spacer file. I didn't touch any images! I tried restoring all of the original templates and the white gap is still there and it still has the same collors (that didn't shock me).

Help please!

Are you trying to edit the style sheet through the built in template editor in X-Cart or downloading it and editing it in something like topstyle? I much prefer doing it that way as you can get a preview in the bottom pane.

This might be a typo but "veranda" should probably be "verdana" which could explain that one.

I suggest a tutorial on CSS... and that white space.. i prob changed the bg color of the main (head) table

If worse get to worst, pm me, i'll help you to fix it
