Does do I remove the category thumbnail? I would prefer only to see the text and not the image.

You mean remove it all together? Just go to the category and delete the image.

Thank you for your response. I mean, whenever I don't select in image for the category thumbnail, when the customer views the page, it says no image available. I don't want anything to come up. All I want is the text.

Easiest way is to upload a 1x1 transparent gif for the default image. That one is default_icon.gif in your root directory.

My catergory image is called default_image.gif not default_icon.gif

Mine was the default_image.gif also, but I figured that was it and it worked out.
