forum integration?
im looking at running an extremley simple forum on my site, and im not sure i want to use the big name ones phpbb, vbulletin etc ettc
i would like to find something really simple, for instance like the one on this site - http://www.screwfix.com/talk/index.jspa?forumTab=forums&ts=81390 and i need it to intergrate into the x-cart user info. has anyone done anything like or know of a good way of doing this? or do i need to just use phpbb and strip it down and install the x-cart > phpbb mod.?

I run vbulletin on my site. I had to contact boomer and he got it set up for me because there were issues with the version I was using.
One problem I have is that it only works one way. Its fine if the customer registers on the store and it will register him on the forums as well. But if they register in the forums they can't then register in the store. I need to get rid of the forum registration section or have it redirect them to the store but I have no idea how to do that.

It's actualy pretty easy in vBulletin if you have a basic html knowledge (rewrite all "register" links to your x-cart registration link) or even easier to put a .htacces file to redirect all vb registration urls (if your host supports .htaccess). I can do this for you. Of course it's getting much more difficult if you're using vbulletin's e-mail activation feature...
