![]() I'm trying to edit the skin in a new 4.0.18 install, and trying to take out as many tables as I can along the way.
I'm trying to edit my speedbar tabs so I've got them enclosed in a <span> tag but looking at the source of my generated page, each tab is enclosed in a <div> tag: Code:
the <div>s seem linked to the tpl files bu tI can't work out how, or how to get rid of them?

![]() You sure this is the default X-Cart skin for 4.0.18? There are no divs in the source code for 4.0.18. Look at the demo and you'll see.

![]() after checking everything in sight I figured it was because I had Webmaster mode enabled. Webmaster mode seems to add them in,
This is a bit of a problem when you're trying to edit all the templates and they look wrong precisely because you're using the webmaster mode which is suposed to help. Thank You,

![]() Webmaster mode is only for seeing which template is which and editing the text, it isn't really meant for editing the code itself.

![]() my problem is that while i'm editing the skin it's easier to keep webmaster mode in to see which template is which, and to allow me to to open that template up to edit it.
However, the actual layout is different when webmaster mode is enabled when you are moving to a more css layout, causing me to spend hours looking for an error in my code that isn't there. In this case, my tabs were lining up vertically because of the extra divs put into the code by webmaster mode, I couldn't work out why because I couldn't find the divs, because they weren't in the templates... Maybe this just needs to be flagged somewhere so people can find the answer as I couldn't when searching, keywords: css div webmaster templates tpl files
