Space below head.tpl and above side block? How to edit?

Hello,
I swear I saw a thread on this but I could not find it so if anyone can point me in the right direction please.

What I am tryign to do is make it so that the topmost sideblock rests right under the head.tpl section. Right now there is a goos 1/2 inch space..

Get rid of the two
tags you have, it looks like in home.tpl:

Thank you so much. Now, another space I cannot get rid of... to the left of the side blocks, how can get rid of that space.

Thats a table cell in home.tpl, just comment it out or remove it.

it is <td> tag right? I was not able to find out which one it is...

Actually yours appears to be a custom template, so it is tough to tell.

Here is my file, I have spent an hour playing with the code, but for the life of me I still cannot get it? Any insight? Thanks a lot!
