I am trying to customize my site. I have the xcart software installed and I know how to modify the logo.gif, top1.gif, etc. in the skins/images directory to do minimal changes. However, I have a designer creating a banner logo and need help replacing the entire top banner/header. Can someone help me do this? I have searched by the way.

The file to amend is head.tpl - this takes care of the html for the top part of the page.

You can basically put pure html in here if you want.

I see. Do I need to keep any of the code inside this file? I guess I am wondering if I can create the HTML code and drop it in this page. Can I just remove the code inside?

Does it contain the search function code? I suppose I could just copy the code and place it in the table/cell I want.

if you want the search in there then keep the code. Just remeber that it has to be valid html
