I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this with version 4.4.1 and I searched everywhere on the forum. At the check out process on the onepage checkout, as the user gets down to entering an email address, a window pops up that says "Make sure you enter a vlid email address because the store will send notifications to this address." But the pop up does not disappear in either IE 8 or firefox.

Is anyone else experiencing this problerm and does anyone know how to cancel this pop up completely or fix this bug?

Yip - I've had some major problems with this.

I talked to 3 customers today who can't order and it's costing me sales. Been going on for months.

I have hit support without success on numerous occasions.

Their team just gives me the old, "Sorry, we can replicate this error so can't help routine".

I've emailed them to show me where the coordinates for this are:

I'm planning to push it down a couple of hundred pixels as a quick and dirty fix but can't find the source.

Nice to see it's not just me who losing because of this.

Anyways, the first thing is to get this box out of the way. Users sometimes have a go and get declined because they can't update their expiry date. I've been able to salvage many of them by making a phone call, still, a number simply won't order so it's hard to know what this is really costing me.

Please let me know if you find success here. If anyone else finds a solution, please post it here!

Instead of using one page checkout, switch to the fast lane checkout, that module works.

What I have done right now is changed the message so there is nothing in the box. I have checked with webmaster mode and cannot find the window to know what template or php it is in to see if I could just delete it as I do not require it anyway.

X-Cart support indicated, the window is suppose to disappear AFTER a customer selects APPLY. I found that in a number of browser, Chrome particularly, it does not disappear.

Since you changed the message location, did you try just deleting it all together? Can you direct me to the file or template that contains this dialog nd I will try deleting it.

Yer, but the whole reason I went with X-Cart was because I like One Page Checkout not the fast lane....

I haven't been able to move it down because I can't find the source of:

Looks like CSS and if I can change top: to 900 my problem will be solved.

The only place I have found: "Make sure you enter a valid email address because the store will send you notifications to this address. "is in the database itself.

Did you remove it using webmaster mode?

Is the popup still poping up on yours but with no text in it?

I found it in 3 files templates and deleted the line
Here are the 3 files
skin\common_files\modules\One_Page_Checkout\profil e\account_info.tpl

skin\common_files\main\register_account.tpl

skin\common_files\customer\main\register_account.t pl

Below is the line in each of the templates. Delete it and everything works fine for me.

That's the way to deal with it and thanks!

In my case the alert does serve a small purpose as it warns the user to get it right which isn't all bad.

The pop up position must be controlled by CSS...

If only I could find out where I could push it down and have the best of both worlds.

I'm hoping to hear from support a bit later on today so will share what I discover here.

If I don't hear from them I'll axe it by using your fix.
