I would like to know how you can add color to the content in the cart. I am using x-cart 4.1.12, I have attached an image so you can see what I am talking about.

I just want to add a table or color to the area that i have marked in the red square.

If you can please help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Can't help unless you give us a link.
Adding color to that area can be simple, but without knowing how your site is laid out, it would just be random guesses.

If your building it on your localhost, then a good bet would be in the fastlane checkout template files in /skin1/modules/fast_lane_checkout/ or something similar.
