Accounting done right in x-cart

is it possible to do accounting right in x-cart? like have cost prices and retail ect.. and calculate profit anyone know how this can be done? My new x-cart does not show cost price area would like to add that..

Your best bet is to keep all of that in an accounting program like Quickbooks.

You can add an extra field for the "cost price", hide it in customer area and use it in a query for report like: sell price - cost price - shipping
something like this

Yea, but X-Cart really isn't meant to function as an accounting system - that would add a couple hundred bucks to the cost, and most companies have accounting software already.

i dont mind spending the extra few bucks to see how much profit made per sale ect.. saves a lot of double checking anyone have a module for this or can direct me somewhere?

Marketing manager allows you to add a cost extra field and run reports to determine profit margins.

marketing manager seems to work on seperate platform..

Profit reports is really all you need to do that. It basically works the way Steve suggested earlier on.
I'm not sure what you mean about Marketing Manager working on a separate platform though. The Pro package includes profit reports and so gives you even more management information.

THe ebay auction manager will work with the marketing manager for profit ect.. showing ? since aucion manager imports sales data from ebay or will i need some custom work done for them to work together?
