I ran cleanup.php, but it doesn't actually delete my templates_c. . although it does show a confirmation message. Any body ??

The thread you posted in was almost 5 years old and applied to an obsolete version of X-Cart. Please be aware of the date on the threads you post in.

You are also running a version of X-Cart which is not the current 'stable' release of that branch, so there may be a bug with cleanup.php. To completely empty your templates_c directory, manually delete the contents via FTP.
