move caterfories to top of page

Hi All,
can you please tell me how I can add my catergories to the gray toolbar at the top of my page? I want to have ALL of my catergories on the top of my page and not on the side.

Please advise how to do this if you know how.

Hi All,
thought I should clarify this in case you aren't sure what I want to do. I want to move my catergories from the right side of the page to the top of the page. Is there a quick and easy way to get this done?

You can move them, but you'll need to re-format the template so they display horizontally instead of vertically. Just move the include for categories.tpl from customer/home.tpl to head.tpl.

Hi and thanks for the information. Seems to be a very easy task but I admit, I just don't see where or how to do this. I noticed your company does web design among other things and I'm sure you could do this in minutes. If so, I would like to hire your service to complete this move for me.

Yes, that would be great if you could move it for me. It would be good to have a freelancer to do these odd jobs for me. I'm busy enough running the day to day business activities, I don't have time to learn something new.

. I've never worked for someone else but I wouldn't mind trying. No fee just to help out, maybe you will want or need something more complicated in the future, that I could charge you for. Also it would help me to work with you, I intend to offer design/consultation services in the future, and the experience would be great. I'm sure I could make the changes you need - I have 8 different live Litecommerce / Xcart stores- all customized and modified.

sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I hired someone to make the change but they took forever and then when it was done, it was all wrong! Needless to say I got a refund.

If you're still interested, I would really appreciate it if you could do this for me. And yes, I need someone like you with your skills to manage my future enhancements.

I don't check this board often enough! Sorry. I have just changed my profile to send me email notifications for replies. I think what you want is simple enough and I understand how to do it, but I will need access to the store, I'm pretty sure I can change it without needing access to the server, just an admin user & password -can you make me a temporary one? email me directly don't post it here mike@totaltechdemo.com
