Is there a way or mod to allow me to modify the title tag manually for each individual category and product?

e.g. I have a category called CHAINS, I want the title tag to display something completely different like: Gold chains, gold necklaces from SDK Jewellers

while keeping the category called chains

As always, I appreciate the help.

also I wish to be able to omit the company name when in certain categories.

right, I found a good reply by balinor elsewhere,
I guess at the top of the <title> script bit I could put

{if $main eq "catalog" and $current_category.category eq "Chains"}Gold chains, gold necklaces from SDK Jewellers{else}

But isnt there an easier way to do this?

Like a mod where you can manually enter the title tag for each url?

Not by default I'm afraid You could use Extra Fields for the product pages, but it would still require {if} statements for the categories.
