I was checking the templates out in various browsers, and have trouble with the default templates with Netscape 4.7.
Particularly home.tpl, the top banner is broken.
I realise this is an older browser, but clients still run with older versions and should be supported.

I also ran the published pages (i.e. view/source from my store home page) and ran the result through tidy.

Also there appears to an error in the mark up in the use of forms within tables. I don't know if this is causing any problems but tidy said it should be fixed.
Dreamweaver also doesn't like it.

Th eproblem with the top bar on nn4 is the tiled background really - obviosuly if you are going to be making mods to suit nn4 users then either change that html or put a browser sniffer in to do the job.

The form tags - diff story - will not cause a problem in any browser that I have worked with across pc/macs etc - just not necessarily neat coding.

Reason to put it outside of table cells is cos the form tag creates a default space and unless you change this with style sheet settings, you will have a totally disjointed page and not know why.

my biggest issue with the code is not these things but the lack of "" in the assigning of values. - can causes probs on macs and is not strictly w3c friendly..but then what is
