Default Changing block colors?
How can I change the colors of the blocks on the left and right side of the page?

Use webmaster mode to find out which templates they are (probably menu.tpl). Then, find out what styles they are calling (in this case, vertmenutitle, vertmenubox and vertmenuborder). Then go to skin1.css and edit them accordingly.
