OK, a couple of things.

For some reason the html catalog pages are showing the "sort by" links on the category pages which when clicked, just reload the page...they're normally missing from the html catalog view but I can't see what is causing them to show. What decides what tags etc are generated for the html pages?

Next question is probably the same answer to the question above. I have Cart Lab's Product listing votes mod. I use it to display the votes on the featured items and the category listings. Although they show on home.php fine, the resulting html catalog index page doesn't show them (although the rest of the html category pages show them OK).

I worked it out...didn't follow Cart Labs instructions fully and had some code inserted in the wrong place...both anomalies fixed now!
