![]() Hello Everybody,
I just have a quick question about thumbnails; I noticed that all my thumbnails show up pixelated. Ican only assume that this is a result of image scaling but does anybody know any good methods of getting around this? I noticed that the X-Cart site www.modchipstore.com doesn't have this problem. This really annoys me, and I will find a way around it but just wanted to know if anybody else has a solution that they would like to share first. Thanks, Joe

![]() Thanks but I already thought of that (I should've mentioned it). Is there any way that anybody knows of where you have separate image directories for thumbnails viewed in products.tpl or products_t.tpl vs product.tpl or any other template? That would probably be more trouble than its worth though right?

![]() Something I often do is use the thumbnail for the products display, and then replace the thumbnail in the product detail page with the detailed product image.

![]() I have a mod that I am about finished with that will allow you to upload one large image (in the thumbnail slot) and it will dynamically generate (and cache) all different size images that you need. One for the thumbnail, one for the shopping cart, one for the popup... It creates new images based off of one single one - making image management much easier.
PM me if you are interested in this. |

![]() Thanks for the heads-up guys, I'll be looking forward to that mod as well. Balinor, can you select only 1 detailed image to use for the product page while leaving the rest to be viewed in the detailed images section? I think that would work out great if I could get that up and running.
Thanks again, Joe

I have it finished, just not documented for the user to install. In its current state I would need to install it on the users site. |

![]() On my old 3.4.14 site I just replaced the thumbnail that shows on the product detail page with the first image out of the detail image loop and then have the detailed images below start on 2 of the loop.
Worked great. |
