Default Anyone else getting weird tpl behaviour?

Ever since upgrading to 4.0.14, i've been having some weird tpl-related problems. For example:

1. When i edit templates using the /admin editor, it says "file saved", but the change isn't actually taken...

2. When i click 'clear cache' in the 'summary' section, XC confirms it's deleted the cached files and yet when i look in templates_c using ftp, they're still present... (only after running cleanup.php are the complied files actually being removed from that dir...)

Seems odd that i'm only getting these after a smarty upgrade....

Anyone else on 0.14 experiecing these problems? I'm keen to know before i raise a ticket with XC.

Cheers

For info, - this is looking like a problem with my host rather than XC (possibly Zend Optimiser). They made some infrastructure changes around the time I upgraded to 0.14.

See my post here for info....

I've got one template that seems to be acting weird - with the profile page (accessed from the "Register an account" link).

Webmaster mode shows a bunch of templates being used, but a lot of them don't map to the actual page, and when I try to edit the main template (customer/main/register.tpl) to add space between the inner templates, all of the spaces end up at the top rather than between the separate components.

When holding the mouse cursor over the template list in the popup window, webmaster mode usually shows where the templates are on the page by drawing a box around them, but with the inner templates in the register.tpl, none of them are indicated on the page. Only the register_state.tpl template is indicated, and that is a black line at the top of the dialog template.

Does anyone know what's wrong here?

Thanks.

Alan,

Just out of interest, are you also seeing the 2 specific probs i mentioned in my first post? (tpl's not being updated from admin and cache clearing not working?)

Cheers,

I didn't even know we can clear cache via admin. I've always manually delete templates_c via FTP.

I'm not experiencing the other problems.

I'm able to update templates from the admin, and the only time I cleared the template cache, it worked for me.

The only problem I'm experiencing with templates is the one template doesn't seem to be working as expected.
