Hi,

My advanced search page does not appear when i click on the advanced search link.

(Normal search works fine)

I have restored the following pages;

home.tpl
head.tpl
search.tpl
advanced_search.tpl
dialog.tpl

but it still does not show - it just shows "Search results - No matching products found" message

Can anyone give me a pointer on what tpl i've messed up?

If you've restored all of those files and it still is'nt showing up, then you might try clearing out your templates cache. To do this, log into your admin home, click on summary under the administration menu, scroll down and click on clear under clear templates cache. You might also go into your customer/search.tpl and check the link. It should read like this:

<u>{$lng.lbl_advanced_search}</u>

Hmmmm

I've done what you asked - and my code is correct;

<td><u>{$lng.lbl_advanced_search}</u></td>

i placed the entire orginal "skin1" back in place to test if it was teh tpl files but it still dont work - so im thinking that its perhaps something to do with the database?

any clues / pointers on why it wont show?
