Hey, I don't have an answer to your questions.. but how did you change the popup dialog colors and layout? I'm getting the blue glassy one and I can't seem to find the files to change this... could you or somebody who knows point me in the right direction?

You should alter:
skin/common_files/lib/jqueryui/jquery.ui.theme.css
OR
skin/%your_current_skin%/lib/jqueryui/jquery.ui.theme.css

Find in the code something like this and click the link to visually configure the theme:

Once you've done save the theme upload to the same location renaming to X-Cart style.

Is there a way in which the jquery ui can be disabled totally?
I'd rather have the pages/templates appear within the page itself rather than a jq popup...

I'm afraid there is no simple solution for this.

This could use some elaboration! Downloading and using the customized theme is not an obvious process. It's unclear which files to use.
