Hello, does X-Cart 4.4 template system differ a lot from 4.2/4.3? In this case, is there a reference about v 4.4 customization?

Instead if template engine is quite similar I'll be glad to use info provided in this exact forum

Template system is a lot different. It just came out the other day, so there isn't a complete reference yet.

This version was a long time in the making. Congrats to the development team for this well coded design.

I do have one problem I can not find the answer in this version.



Where are the <title> html tags on the customer front end homepage?

I've looked everywhere in the tpl scripts. I'm thinking its' located in one of the php scripts.



The workaround to change the content: search for 'Home' in languages section and change it this way.

I still would like to know the location of the <title></title> tags just for curiosity sake.

I know in 4.3 they are in meta.tpl

Actually the title tag is in the /skin/common_files/customer/service_head.tpl file:

{get_title page_type=$meta_page_type page_id=$meta_page_id}

Its built using a smarty function in /include/templater/plugins/function.get_title.php... You should be able to look through there to see how its put together. Just remember to set your default title in the SEO section of the admin panel.

For the life of me I cannot hide the Add to Cart and Wish List buttons for one category using the if statement. No matter what I edit it is not working out. Most of the time, it removes everything from my product details page when I try to use the if statement. think I am wrapping the wrong code. Can someone please instruct me on the correct code to wrap using the if statement? Please!!!! I am totally fustrated with this new version and Smart Template mod. Thanks again.
